The level of support is customizable and we include foam inserts, along with plastic inserts if you want them very stiff. The contoured shape makes for a sleek fit. Follow the sizing chart based on weight but if you are "in between" sizes it's probably better to go up since these are fastened with velcro and can be tightened!
